Chris McKee is an award-winning reporter in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with more than a decade of experience in television journalism.
Chris currently reports nightside for KRQE News 13, where he covers general assignment news.
Over the last six years, Chris has investigated high-profile New Mexico officials and covered some of the state’s biggest stories, including several controversial police use-of-force cases; the U.S. Department of Justice-lead reform of the Albuquerque Police Department; multiple high school and work place shootings; and severe weather including wildfires and flooding.
An Oregon native, Chris is a University of Oregon graduate. He started his career in Oregon as a news producer in Bend, and eventually worked his way into reporting through Roseburg and Eugene.
Chris has worked both with photographers and solo as a multimedia journalist. In 2017, he was awarded “Best Reporter” and “Best General News Story” by the New Mexico Broadcasters Association.
